| How long does it take to set up a Beaver protective dam? |
| Set up duration is dependent on many factors. Decisive factors are the Beaver model, diameter of the hose, length of the dam, number of people available, the site, the time of day, as well as the water source capacity. We – and incidentally other systems – have difficult with rule of thumb times. Experience in an emergency has shown that the Beaver protective system dependent on conditions, can be set up approx. 30 to 40 times faster than a comparable protective dam using and bags. In August 2005 in the bad weather and floods in Lucerne, 8 people set up a 320 metre long Beaver hose dam Model M50in 1.5 hours!!! |
